Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Castleton C of E Primary School is our top priority. Our approach is designed to ensure that all children feel safe in school and the world beyond. Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone and is a thread that runs through our decision-making, planning and actions.

We aim to provide our children with a safe and secure learning environment where all stakeholders have positive, trusting and purposeful relationships which in turn allows our children to flourish and achieve their best.

We work closely with a range of agencies to ensure that every child is safe from harm. Staff are regularly trained and we take great care to ensure that policies, procedures and systems are rigorous and robust; this includes a regular review system to continually develop and improve our practice.
