Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is an additional amount to the main school education funding. It is to be deployed by the school to address any underlying inequalities and narrow the attainment gap between pupils from low income families and their peers, by ensuring that this funding reaches pupils who need it most. Schools have the freedom to spend this funding as they see fit in recognition of them being best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.
Pupil Premium funding is allocated per pupil on, or who have been on, Free School Meals at any point in the last 6 years, or are children in care of the Local Authority.
