Applications for First Admission to School (Admission to the Reception year group)

ALL applications are now handled by Derbyshire Education Authority who supply us with ‘Primary Application Leaflets’ approximately ten months prior to your child starting school. Upon request, we will send you a leaflet as soon as they arrive. Please read the leaflet carefully and apply without delay.

You will be advised by the Local Authority in the spring term before your child is due to start school whether or not you have been successful in gaining a place.

Applications for Admission to School other than in the Reception Year Group (transfers)

The Local Authority deals with all transfers and will normally allocate a place if there is one available. Parents wishing to transfer children from other schools should telephone for advice (01629 533 500)

In the event of an application being turned down parents may contact the Area Education Office for further advice.
